Power of Images

Does it, can it here,
Across a room, a street?
Even images leave a mark
Nurtured in our central place
Spirits core, lifted by
Such fleeting trace
But how can you know
Whether allowing such embrace
Therein lies one's state of grace.
Cupid and his silly arrows
Discarded in this modern day.
We seek, but what
If not to find one who
Cherishes us above all else.
Each artful gesture speaks of wisdom learned
In easy effort to make the spirit soar.
We seek, but what?
If not the embrace of love, within which our heart secure.
